Same carbon. Same crystal structure. Same fire. Lab-grown diamonds are not an imitation — they are diamonds, grown to specification rather than discovered by chance.
Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) places a thin diamond seed inside a sealed chamber filled with carbon-rich gas, typically methane and hydrogen. The chamber is heated to extreme temperatures and the gas is ionised into plasma.
Carbon atoms from the plasma settle onto the seed and bond, layer by layer, building up the same crystal lattice found in natural diamond. Over several weeks, this produces a rough diamond crystal — chemically and structurally indistinguishable from one formed deep within the earth over a billion years.
The process is precise enough that growers can target specific colour and clarity outcomes from the start — which is why so many CVD diamonds emerge in the rare D–F colour range and Type IIA purity category.
Diamonds are classified by the impurities trapped in their crystal lattice during formation. Most natural diamonds — over 98% — contain measurable traces of nitrogen, which can impart a faint yellowish or brownish tint and affect how the stone transmits light.
Type IIA diamonds contain virtually no nitrogen at all. They are the chemically purest diamonds that exist — prized for exceptional transparency, the whitest possible colour grades, and superior thermal conductivity. In nature, they are exceptionally rare.
Because CVD growth conditions can be controlled precisely, every Jawadi diamond begins life at this Type IIA threshold — a standard that would otherwise require searching through thousands of mined stones to find by chance.
The same four axes that grade any fine diamond, mined or grown — verified independently on every IGI or SGL certificate.
Graded on a scale from D (colourless) to Z. Jawadi diamonds are grown in the D–F range — the most colourless grades available.
Measures internal inclusions and surface blemishes. Jawadi diamonds are graded VS clarity or finer — eye-clean and certificate-verified.
The angles and proportions that determine how light enters and exits the stone. Every Jawadi diamond is cut to excellent symmetry standards.
The weight of the diamond. From delicate daily-wear pieces to statement bridal stones, every weight is precisely measured and certified.
Mining a single carat of natural diamond can require moving hundreds of tonnes of earth, along with the water, energy, and land disruption that comes with large-scale excavation.
CVD lab-grown diamonds are produced in a controlled facility, using a fraction of the land and water of a mining operation, with no open-pit excavation and no displacement of mining communities.
There is also no opaque supply chain to audit — because there is no supply chain to hide. Each diamond's growth and grading history is traceable from the chamber to the certificate in your hand.
Grown in a controlled chamber — no excavation, no land disruption.
No link to conflict financing — every stone's origin is fully traceable.
Decades of mined-diamond science, applied to a process that lets brilliance be grown rather than unearthed.
